While the Gophers have won or shared nine Big Ten championships, the most famous moment in Minnesota basketball history was anything but a triumph.
It’s 1972. Ohio State is finishing off a big victory at the Barn over Bill Musselman’s crew. Then all hell breaks loose, as the Buckeyes’ Luke Witte gets a taste of Corky Taylor’s knee and Ron Behagan’s foot.
